Top 100 Children's books

So Cindy at Our Journey Westward has placed a list of top 100 books on her website. If you've never been to her website, check it out. She has some fabulous homeschool helps and has started her own company-Shining Dawn Books. They're awesome. Anyway, I'm highlighting the ones I've read. I agree with her-there are several on this list I wouldn't read with my kids. There are quite a few I've never heard of. How do you make out?

  1. Very interesting. I followed the rabbit trail and it seems that these were public votes or votes from school librarians that create the list.
    There are many that I have not read from this list. I must admit that I don't fully trust "new" books as the authors so often have an agenda with which I do not agree.
    Anyhow, i may just have to copy this one and play along.

    Oh, and we LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia......your son would probably like those a lot.

  3. Ooh! I'm a good hs mom! LOL! We've read a lot of them! And we love anything by Kate DiCamillo and Roald Dahl so I think the list should have all theirs listed. ;o) Yes, kidding. Great list.

    The Phantom Tollbooth was one of my favorites when I was little and we don't have it here. I need to remedy that.... Sadly, I don't even remember what it was about. Just that I loved it. Weird.
