Another day.....
Another dollar? Another one sick? We've been passing this bug around the house for over a week now and I'm done; I don't want to play anymore. Last night, I was the one to get it. Fever, chills, and headache all night long. At least it was just that I guess. I feel better today, but not the greatest. We were supposed to be going to the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for Princess, but I just can't do it right now.
I've decided to update you in some pictures, because that's all I seem to be able to do right now! Here's little Miss Chunky Monkey-this is her little nickname right now. I love baby fat rolls!

Yesterday, Little Miss Trouble came downstairs with scissors, cutting towards her head. Where she found them, I have no idea. I think that they stash them somewhere when they turn two, so that they can cut their hair. Yes, this has happened before. This is what I saw:

Unfortunately, this picture doesn't even do it justice. She cut right down about 1/2 inch from her head. Off to get a haircut we went!

The poor woman was very upset and wanted to try to save it. I knew better, I'm experienced at this. Better to cut it and start over. Perhaps, now her hair will grow in a little thicker!

THis is the back now. Its actually tapered a little because of the shortness of how she cut it. It looks cute, but I miss her little long hair!

One can only laugh....
Tuesday nights are usually busy for us. Taekwondo is from 4-4:30 for Bug-a-Bug. We run home and eat and its out the door again to drop the oldest girls at Awana and TL at Boy Scouts. I usually take the hour that I have to run errands, which I was planning to do last night since daddy's gone for six weeks and I would only have two kids.
Little Miss Trouble had fallen asleep at 4:30 and missed dinner, so I decided to roll through Burger King to get her some nuggets and fries to munch on while we were shopping; and silently hoping that she wouldn't run all over the store then. TL was still with me as I had a few minutes before dropping him off.
I turned to see "the look" on Little Miss Trouble's face and then the floodgates opened. Vomit everywhere, but mostly on herself. Alot of it. I pulled over and cleaned her up as best as I could. We were about two minutes from home, so, I ran TL over to Boy Scouts and went home. The scent was strong, but not too bad, I've smelled alot worse. TL had his head hanging out the window yelling, "It smells so bad, I think I can taste it in my mouth." Okay, no need to get dramatic here.
Got her home, cleaned her up. Went another round. Went to bed, had another round. That's when she decided to share her fun with Bug-a-Bug. Such a nice sweet girl, wanting to share. Bug-a-bug decided that after one lightning round, that the Vomit Game wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and slept the rest of the night.
It's now 9am and all my kids and still sleeping. And I'm letting them!

Cheap Olympics Stuff
I realize that I haven't posted in a while-its been busy and I wanted the kids to finish a few projects to post picturs of them on here.
I did want to offer some cheap suggestions for a Winter Olympics study. www.Currclick.com is offering a Winter Olympics lapbook on sale for $4.00. It is a wonderful study of the history of the olympics, however, not much on Canada there. Never fear-they also offer a lapbook on Canada for $1!! Can't refuse that deal!! Enjoy!!

The Law of Physics
The Law of Physics states that "when your spouse deploys, even for the shortest amount of time, one of the following will happen: the car will break down, a major appliance will break down, or most commonly, a child will get ill."
Thursday night (aka Friday morning at 1am), I took hubby to the base. He had a bunch of work to do before leaving early Friday am for San Diego and then some desert part of CA. Rather than let me sleep for a few hours, and get me up at 4am to take him, we decided the lesser of two evils was one am. We woke up TL to keep an eye out, put the dog on high alert, and headed out the door. Less than twenty minutes later, I was back home, brushing my teeth, eager to climb into bed and pass out. That's when the law took affect.
Now, generally, its a day or so before things happen. Took a few weeks after he left once, for Princess to break her arm. Strep throat for the oldest three took place a month after he left another time.
Not this time!! He hadn't even been gone for thirty minutes!! And here was Little Miss Trouble throwing up-all over my bed!!!!
She did end up throwing up a second time about an hour later, but never ran a fever and was totally fine yesterday. I really think something in her tummy didn't agree with her.
I'm praying nothing else goes wrong!
